Thank you for visiting my website and thanks for checking out the Iowa Fire Flyer project. This is a project I have been wanting to start for a long time…and here we are! I am currently a chief fire officer working in my home state of Iowa, and I love it here. I am passionate about the fire service and all of its elements. I am also very passionate about the world of aviation and I am a private pilot. The Iowa Fire Flyer project will be a place where you will find both of these passions alive and well.

There are several elements to the Iowa Fire Flyer project and I hope they bring some positivity to your world:

Website - Here I will keep you posted on the Iowa Fire Flyer project and the latest happenings. I will post blog posts here and you can also find links to my social media pages. This will also be a place where you can head to the “contact” page and send me a message. I would love to hear from you!

Videos - As I move along this journey, I will make occasional videos and post them to my YouTube channel.

Podcast - I will be hosting a podcast that will be in a unique format. I will alternate between episodes based on fire service topics and aviation topics. You can find more information by heading to the “Projects” header above and clicking “Podcast”.

Flight Simulation - I am an avid home slight simmer and will often discuss this interesting area of aviaton.

Fly Iowa Challenge - One of my goals is to visit as many of Iowa’s airports and aviation museums as possible. I will track this on the “Fly Iowa Challenge” page found under the “Projects” header above.

Ground Instruction - I am an FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) certified ground instructor. If you have any questions about aviation material, please let me know.

I am excited for the future and I cannot wait to meet you all along the way. I have met several influencers along my aviation and fire service journeys and I have learned from them all. It is my goal to “pay it forward”. Welcome to the Iowa Fire Flyer!
